Natalia Chernysheva
The Intricacies of Light
& Shadow Game

Natalia's PhotographyI was born in a small city Pushkin near to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, St. Petersburg, Russia. In 19th century Pushkin, or then “Tsarskoe Selo”, used to be a summer residence of Russian tsars. I’ve been always fascinated by peace and harmony of its parks and architecture created by the most famous masters in the world of that time, such as Rastrelli, Kvarengi, Albani, etc. When I was a child my mother introduced me to the world of art which I’ve always loved since then, especially impressionism and its famous artists like Cezanne, Gauguin, Seurat, Van Gogh, Monet, etc. The impressionism is so close to me as its main goal is to reveal and convey the most inner feelings and emotions of the artist.Natalie's Photographs This is exactly what I’m trying to achieve in my work. For me the most important is to cause people who are looking at my photos to feel the stunning beauty of all that is surrounding us, as this beauty is quite often left unnoticed to us in the routine of our everyday life. Isn’t it something magical and exiting about how beautiful and unique the world we live in – the nature, the mountains, the trees, the flowers, the leaves …? You just have to forget all your everyday concerns for a moment in order to feel you’ve become a part of this surrounding peace and harmony and then you’ll whisper to yourself: “God, what a magical world you’ve created!”Natalia's Photography

I have not graduated from any art college. My teachers have been professional artists whose works used to trigger my deepest inner feeling and fascinated me with all the intricacies of light & shadow game. This is the game I would like to share with everybody who wants to see my photos.
